Tutorial Rooting Xiaomi RedMi 1S
Pada beberapa rom MIUI5 dan MIUI6 KK based, terkadang terjadi error saat meng-kopi dan memindah file dari sdcard maupun ke sdcard. Masalah ini kemungkinan besar karena bug dari ROM yang muncul karenakan permisson di kitkat yang membatasi pemakaian sdcard.

Untuk melakukan fixing manual, biasanya perlu memperbaiki ownership, permission, dan mungkin properti SElinux. Cara ini tentu untuk user yang sudah "dalem" atau expert.

Untuk user awam bisa menggunakan aplikasi SDfix yang bisa di download dari playstore atau bisa juga memakai SD Kitkat fixer yang juga gratis di playstore. Syaratnya, root redmi 1s dulu.

Caranya:

1. Buka aplikasi SDfix setelah terinstal.
2. Cukup pilih menu "Continue" sampai "Complete"

Tutorial Rooting/Install TWRP MIUI6 Global

Caranya hampir sama dengan root dan install custom recovery MIUI5 (native). Untuk root MIUI6 dan memasang TWRP custom recovery di ROM MIUI6 Global Official Stable ikuti tutorial berikut:

Melakukan rooting:
1. Download file root yg ada di bawah taruh file di internal memory atau sdcard
2. Buka app updater/pembaruan
3. Buka menu updaternya (klik icon pojok kanan atas)
4. Pilih opsi choose update package/ pilih paket pembaruan
5. Cari dan pilih file root yg udah di download
6. Setelah kembali ke home screen, buka app supersu-nya
7. Pilih "continue" untuk proses update binary su nya
8. Lanjut di dialog berikutnya pilih "normal" dan binary su akan terinstall
9. Setelah proses selesai, lanjut pilih "reboot"

Selesai.

Bahan root: Root_HM1S_MIUI6_Global.zip, mirror link: dev-host

Selanjutnya untuk meng-install TWRP recovery bisa menggunakan twrp manager atau flasify. Bisa juga dengan rashr.

Note: Please do a full wipe in the process of flashing the ROM, otherwise it might cause problem to your phone. If you've already updated without doing a full wipe, and is facing "unfortunately.process com. android.phone has stopped" error, enter Recovery mode and clear cache & dalvik cache to solve the issue.

Download file Big OTA Update miui_HM1SWCGlobal_V6.6.1.0.KHCMICF_74644ba684_4.4 dibawah, dan letakkan file di internal memory atau sdcard kemudian rename menjadi "update.zip".
1. Sebaiknya unroot terlebih dahulu kalau menggunakan Mi-Recovery (native recovery) kecuali jika menggunakan TWRP recovery
2. Buka updater/pembaruan

3. Buka menu updaternya (klik icon pojok kanan atas)
4. Pilih opsi Reboot to recovery mode
5. Pilih English dalam mode recovery.
6. Pilih full wipe.
7. Pilih Install update.zip
8. Tunggu hingga proses selesai.
6. Reboot.
Tunngu hingga redmi menyala kembali, setelah ROM ter-install bisa lanjut Install GAPPS. langkahnya sama dengan no. 1 - no. 3, no 4 pilih file miui-6-gapps-kk-20150618-global.zip.

Fix Masalah USB OTG Tidak Terdeteksi atau sdCard Damage

Tutorial Rooting Xiaomi RedMi 1S

Xiaomi Redmi 1s memang mendukung fitur USB on the go (USB OTG), tetapi seringkali gagal mendeteksi media penyimpanan portable (flashdisk) tertentu. Meskipun saat digunakan untuk mouse dan keyboard lancar. Bahkan mungkin sudah beruasaha dengan meng-install aplikasi tambahan (otg helper, paragon ntfs dsb), tetap tidak menyelesaikan masalah. Terkadang, saat terdeteksi pun masih muncul peringatan sdCard damage.

Banyak yang bilang ini karena memakai flashdisk dengan merk murahan. Anggapan ini tidak sepenuhnya benar. Hal ini bisa terjadi karena partisi flashdisk atau master boot record flashdisk bermasalah.

Jika kebetulan anda punya masalah USB OTG ngadat di Xiaomi Redmi 1S anda, coba ikuti langkah fix berikut, tetapi anda harus memindahkan file yang ada di flashdisk yang akan di-fix. Tutorial ini membutuhkan bantuan PC/Laptop. Okey, yuk kuti step-by-step berikut:

1. Download aplikasi Minitool Partition Wizzard, yang versi home(gratis) bisa, lebih bagus kalau punya yang versi PE/SE (link ada di bag. download)
2. Install seperti saat anda meng-install software lainnya.
3. Tancapkan flashdisk ke komputer, dan jalankan aplikasi Minitool Partition Wizzard
4. Pilih menu sebelah kiri saja. Dalam panel akan terlihat beberapa disk termasuk HardDisk PC/Laptop Anda, jadi hati hati saat melakukan tutor ini.
5. Sebelum melakukan langkah ini, ada baiknya lihat bagian troubleshoot. Selanjutnya pilih flashdisk anda (misal flashdisk ada di Disk 2, jangan sampai keliru dengan hard disk), klik kanan di Disk 2 dan pilih Delete All Partitions
6. Setelah itu pilih menu Aplly untuk meng-eksekusi penghapusan partisi.
7. Setelah selesai menghapus, klik kanan di (Unalocated) di Disk 2, dan pilih "Create".
   
8. Pada jendela yang muncul, Create As: pilih yang "Primary" dan Filesyste pilih "FAT32" dan klik tombol "OK
"
9. Klik menu "apply" lagi ubtuk melanjutkan pembuatan partisi baru dan klik yes untuk mengkonfirmasi.
10. Proses akan berjalan, tunggu hingga selesai.

Jika proses sudah selesai, silahkan cabut Flashdisk anda dengan cara aman dengan Eject USB Mass Storage device dari notification tray. Sekarang flashdisk di Xiaomi Redmi 1S dengan kabel USB OTG. Jika flashdisk terdeteksi, saya ucapkan selamat. Kini anda sudah menyelesaikan masalah USB OTG tidak terdeteksi.

Troubleshoot:

1. Coba lakukan tutorial diatas sampai langkah ke-4 dan saat klik kanan pilih Rebuild MBR dan lakukan test.
2. Jika masih tidak bisa, coba tancapkan flashdisk dalam keadaan Xiaomi redmi 1S dalam keadaan mati, kemudian nyalakan.
